Wardat-e-Sarmad

Wardat-e-Sarmad is a ghazal compilation of Yahya Amjad’s father, Sarmad Mazahiri. He initially composed Urdu and Persian ghazals; they had once begun to bring back their traditional form. Sarmad Mazahiri wrote with such great sincerity that a comparison could be drawn with Mir Taqi Mir’s manner of ultimately putting one’s heart on paper in poetry.
